A gunman opened fire on people in Kyiv on Saturday, killing "several" people and wounding others, the Ukrainian capital's mayor Vitali Klitschko said, adding that the assailant was still at large. A special operation to apprehend the man is currently ongoing.

A gunman opened fire on people in Kyiv on Saturday, killing "several" people and wounding others, the Ukrainian capital's mayor Vitali Klitschko said, adding that the assailant was still at large. A special operation to apprehend the man is currently ongoing.
At least five people have been killed in a shooting which occurred in the Holosiivskyi district of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, taking hostages and leaving a child injured. “Medics are transporting her to the hospital. Wounded adults are being examined and provided with assistance on site,” Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote.
“A special operation to apprehend the man who opened fire and is currently inside the supermarket is ongoing,” Klitschko said.
